White with a Pop of Beige
A fresh, all-white look will refine anyone's style. I love playing with textures in monochrome looks, so I paired this linen shirt-dress with an oversize, beige scarf and skin-tight, white cotton pants. The entire look (save for my staple shoes and Chanel red lips) is from H&M. They have extremely high-waist jeans, which I am officially hooked on, and they are very inexpensive. They will last long enough to be worth what you pay, and with the rapidly rotating denim trends, that is probably as long as you'll need.
